Rocks Glass
We recommend using a sturdy rocks glass or lowball glass for your Black Russian. Its wide rim and solid base make it perfect for holding the ice and showcasing the rich, dark color of the drink. If you don’t have one, any short glass you have in your kitchen will do. Your drink, your choice!
Jigger or Measuring Tool
The perfect drink means perfect measurements. We suggest investing in a good jigger to accurately measure the Kahlúa and Absolut Vodka. If you don’t have one, simply use a 30 ml/1 oz shot glass instead, it does the same job.
Bar Spoon
While not strictly necessary, we prefer using a bar spoon to gently stir the drink. Its long handle makes it easy to reach the bottom of the glass without disturbing the ice too much. That said, any spoon with a long handle you’ve got laying around the kitchen will do.
